R-KI-TEKT is a well curated ensemble of modern + artful accessories and goods inspired by travel and color. We pride ourselves in providing quality, hand-crafted goods that are as unique as the individual that carries it. We believe that a life filled with color, pattern, and texture is a life well lived. We hope that R-KI-TEKT inspires you to connect with elements of West Indian and African Diasporic culture and allows you to carry good vibes everywhere.
About the maker:
Mama of 2, Wife, Designer, Creative Director - I believe that the world operates best when the objects you are surrounded by are pleasing to the eye. I believe color has the ability to heal and pattern adds visual zest. I believe in honoring the lives and cultures of my ancestors, as well as the cultures that are often artistically referenced in Art and Design, yet still go unknown. I believe art and creativity should be shared in order to be understood in it's fullest form.
All sales will benefit the Black Women in Visual Art Foundation (BWVAF), created to provide resources, programs and opportunities for Black womxn, from students to senior-level leaders. We aim to serve art workers with opportunities for connectivity, career development, and moments of reprieve through thoughtful programming and activations. We also plan to provide opportunities to amplify our voices and contributions to the arts and culture sector, while encouraging rest and reprieve. Each dollar will positively impact the future of another Black woman who seeks to thrive in the art world.
Thank you for your support and we look forward to engaging you in 2025 and beyond!
