MINT Gallery Partners With Black Women In Visual Art For 8th Annual Juried Exhibition, ‘Sweet Discord’ - a new exhibition at the MINT Gallery, gathers works by emerging artists in the gallery’s 8th Annual Juried Exhibition. Partnering with the BWVA organization, or Black Women in Visual Art, MINT brings together a diverse collection united by themes of lightness and darkness. Lauren Jackson Harris and Daricia Mia DeMarr are the founders of BWVA and jurors for this year’s show.

The work in the group show “Sweet/Discord” at Mint Gallery ricochets between pain and joy. And sometimes those seemingly contradictory emotions coexist. There is a lot to reflect upon in this meaty exhibition that captures the pathos and poetry of daily life. The exhibition is curated by Black Women in Visual Art founders Lauren Jackson Harris and Daricia Mia DeMarr who have selected a mix of 14 artists from Atlanta and beyond.
